Prozessautomatisierung in mittelständischen Industrieunternehmen am Beispiel der Possehl-Gruppe

  • Guido Horstmann ist als Head of Process Automation bei L. Possehl & Co. mbH verantwortlich für die Prozessautomatisierung aller Unternehmen der Gruppe. In zehn unterschiedlichen Geschäftsbereichen besteht sie überwiegend aus mittelständischen Unternehmen, die in ihren Märkten führende Positionen einnehmen. Im Gegensatz zu Konzernstrukturen sind die Möglichkeiten und die Mittel für die Digitalisierung beschränkt, dennoch ist er bestrebt anhand von Low Code, RPA und Data Analytics die Prozessautomatisierung auf das nächste Level zu heben und die bislang erworbenen Skills auszubauen. Dabei geht er effizienz- und kostenorientiert vor und versucht die Risiken, welche die Automatisierung mit sich bringt, so gering wie möglich zu halten. Industrieunternehmen betrachten den Einkauf von IT (Software, Services) oft als Kostenrisiko mit unklarem Nutzen, die im Wettbewerb mit Investitionen in der Kernwertschöpfung stehen, wie zum Beispiel Werkzeug- oder Baumaschinen und somit oft noch als Risiko statt als Chance für die Rentabilität gesehen werden. – Wie es die L.
